right DK? it sounds disgusting now that you think about it. even more so after covid. hence, no more library visits. lol
i'm surprised you never had a preschool/grade school library trip. that's how i got my library card. its actually how most students got their library cards, they make it a school field trip to the library to get our first library cards.

my mom is always complaining that my dad turns the tv up too loud. like he's constantly watching videos on youtube with the smarttv lol. just a couch potato. pft

but yeah, i've become more of a germaphobe now than before. now i shudder at the thought of touching used or library books. xD;;

Lots of people move to different places.
My schools never took me to the public library as a field trip. None of them. Though that would have been a good idea.

I remember when I got my first library card. I was so excited.


Is your dad hard of hearing?

My mom turns up the TV loud because she listens to it from the kitchen. It's in her room.

yeah we did field trips like that. and it wasn't too far, i think, although personally i don't remember if we took a school bus or just walked there......hum probably a bus. little kids probably wouldn't want to walk for that long lol.

i'm not sure, he's never been diagnosed with it. sometimes, i think he has a bit of selective hearing lol. but he does shout a lot so i always think he's mad about something. maybe he is but we just don't know it.

We didn't do a whole lot of trips when I was in school. My schools were pretty poor. And being in the deep country everything was at least 30 minutes away. Usually a lot further.

I think a lot of people really have that selective hearing problem. lol.

Oh no. I can't deal with lots of shouting. Especially male shouting. So scary.

I use to have a library card for the previous town I lived in, but we moved. x'D

I went on.. 6 school trips that I can remember, and that was when I was in elementary school and middle school... I never went to any of the high school trips.

First grade was some sort of nature reserve hike.
lets see.. Second Grade was Seaworld..
I think first grade was the Cleveland Zoo.. (that coulda been third grade..)
4th grade was a few day camping trip.. which I regretted going..
5th grade was a trip around to the different water plants in our area to show how we reuse water... one of the stops was where our actual crap ends up, how they take it out of the water, then send it over to another plant to remove all harmful bacteria.. after that mom REFUSED to drink water from the faucets. x"D
I didn't go anywhere in 6th grade...
7th grade was to the cleveland space museum

All our trips were hours away from the school... x'D

In highschool, they all went to new york... I didn't go. wasn't interested. Not after how I was bullied during the Camp trip >->that and.. planes.. no thanks x-x

i think i've been to museums, zoos.....some were close by, some were in another city entirely. so yeah, i've had my fair share of school field trips.

I feel like I had learned more on those field trips than I did in school. x'D

On our trips we mostly went to national parks, plays, movies, and museums.

I remember a few of the trips very fondly.

One to a national park I got together with my first girlfriend. It involved graphitti and one of those cement tubes on a playground that people like to go in. We were like 15.

The only plays we saw during school, were the ones the drama club put on. ._.
We never went to the movies either.. some teachers would put a movie on in the classroom tho. As long as it was related to the class in some way

meh, i think it was mainly just fooling around. i don't recall learning much on those trips lol.
