Yeah, things ar going quite smoothly.
Our flat is hardly habitable but we are doing well. The last two night the son stayed with the grandparents, only my husband and I came home at all.
And we try to stay away (from the noise, from the dirt) as much as we can.

Oh, well, the ones who left the house completely - the day before the works started - are our gerbils. We left them at the grandparents house too, but of course we check on them daily to make sure they have water and feed them.
Their current cage looks so small compared to their regular one!



Indeed kids don't read as much, which is a pity.
But I'm lucky I have a super-reader at home. Really reads a lot.
These days he's into Pokemon manga, got a bunch of them in the school library for the summer. 9 of them.
Won't last long xD

Ahh the pokemon manga, I remember reading them in elementary. Never in order because the library only had them in random bits XD

Our bathroom cabinet just got wrecked by a homestay student, so now we're trying to contact repair services to see if work can be done too I'm not looking forward to that stress....

Exactly what y son is doing, he's reading the random bits he could put his hands on.
But I don't get it. Because he can't understand a thing reading them this way ^^;

He's super picky about watching the series episodes in the proper order, but then he does that :D

At least it's only the cabinet? I mean, the bathroom is fully useable in the meantime?

Yeah now looking back it's strange.
But I used to read manga out of order too, since again relying on whatever the library had at the time. And it worked out okay

Yup thankfully it's only the cabinet. It's just a hassle because it's the cabinet that's connected to the sink, so we either have to custom make a new drawer to fit in it, or redo the whole sink/cabinets area... Still negotiating the repair fees with the student's agency //sighs

I supose Pokemon is not the hardest story to undertand, even if you read it all out of order. Their adventures are quite straightforward.
But for anything a little bit more complex I would not dare!


We are a bit stuck with our bathroom now, apparently one of the pieces is missing and they can't continue working for a few days. Or at least they said a few days. I hope so.


Today I have an appointment with my dentist. My yearly (or so) check-up and cleaning.
I don't feel like driving to the city, but better get it done and forget about it.

Ahhh the dreaded check up... Each time I go it's a fun game of "how many cavities this time?" XD;;;;

Well, the biggest piece is the cabinet, which requires the electrician to come.
But I think one of the issues is the finishing touch of the border of a colum - right now it's sharp, and of course it should not be left this way.
Unless of course they are not mentioning something else...

I'm starting to think that maybe there is also some time issue.
They surely agreed on doing another work somewhere else this week, and they don't want to start that one late, so they'd rather put us off?

I just hope it does not take long, really.
Hubby is having surgery next week and I don't really want him to suffer the rest of the works while he's still convalescent.



No cavities this time! :D
Lately I'm not having new cavities, only old fillings which somehow decay and end up becoming a horrible mess...

Well, what I do have more of is tartar.
Actually one of my teeth (one which is squeezed between other two) was getting waaay darker than the others, but now that they cleaned it it looks normal again
I must be more careful with my daily cleaning!

Ahhh true, wow the timeline is a bit tight eh. Hopefully the renovations can be done in time!

I plan to get an electric toothbrush to do cleaning better. Last time I went for a check out they found 4 cavities

We are lucky we have another bathroom in the main bedroom, but it is tiny.
We can live with only that bathroom, of course, but the other one is so much more convenient!



I would not say it's hard to reach, actually it's one of the teeth on the front but it's slightly behind the other teeth. I had never had any issue with it before...
Maybe I should get an electric toothbrush too, you got me thinking.
