A lot

So, grandparents have it in their will that their house is to be sold
It's not up yet but mom wants to buy it before it does
But to do that, need to have credit card debt cleared
She decided the best way to do THAT is to sell the house we live in to me
Which I've been approved for and everything
So yeehaw but also yikes, if that makes sense

She spends money that doesn't exist, assuming that she'll get it, despite that money never actually showing up
This has happened several times in the past, and we all know that if she doesn't find out that I own the house, she'll have it sold to someone after my parents die (assuming they don't get grandpa's house). When the house isn't mentioned in the will, especially, she'll be spending that money. Only to find out that it ain't in the will cuz I own it. Aka she can't sell it, the money does not exist, and she just spent it all
Most recent example was my dad had a stroke some years ago. The ER said he was fine, despite all signs of it happening. She told dad to sue, and anticipating a cut of that money, got herself and her hubby motorcycles. Dad never sued, and even if he had (which he prolly would've been justified in), no guarantee she would've gotten ANY of the money. She ended up having to sell them when they moved
She's also done stuff like outright tell me to buy her a Switch. She worked full time at the time and I was a seasonal employee. She made more in a week than I did a month. In front of our parents, too. I outright told her no, I'd give her game recs and maybe a game for birthday/Christmas, but not the entire system. And that was after several times trying to suggest to me that I should buy her one without actually saying it!
