The snowfall over areas close to forest fires is also colored a little off.
And snow once it's been mushed around by children's dirty gloves to make a snowman is often discolored. Especially if they try and do it right away and there's not much snow so they end up scooping up bits of mud with their snow...

I don't mind the color scheme at all.
