Awww, yeah, thinning with age can be a problem of course. But then again, some people with rather thin hair still really rock the long styles.

That's true! I've seen some people pull it off really well!

Plus when it's long, the styles you can do are truly amazing. There are so many more options, especially if you have skills with braids.

Yes, I'd be so bored with it if my hair was too short for braided styles! And I find a quick bun is much less work than dealing with shorter, but open, hair.

Yeah. Braid it at night, then in the morning brush it out and redo it into a bun or braid, and ignore it all day...
while laughing up the sleeve at people with short hair who have to restyle it every time a bit of wind comes by.

Exactly :D
Although I actually don't usually braid it at night, I sleep with a silk snood that keeps it from tangling. It's so good that I can actually braid it in the evening, put on the snood, sleep, stand up in the morning, pull off the snood, et voilĂ  - finished hairdo ;)
But most of the time I just put it in the snood after brushing it out in the evening and then throw it right in a bun in the morning.

Huh! Nice! I have some snoods but definitely have to braid it before using them, otherwise it leads to more tangles instead of less.
Is yours a solid one or one of the crocheted ones with holes in it?

Mine is solid. I think the smooth surface of the silk fabric is what makes it so non-tangly.

Yes, but... usually my hair tangles with itself rather than anything else anyhow...
Still. I might try making some solid snoods and see how that works!

Who knows, it might work for you too :)
Good luck!

Thanks.
The best part is, even if it doesn't work for tangles, I can still braid it and stick it in a snood for a different style and look.

So it's never wasted effort.
