I mostly went to the ones that are basically school hours? So you go home in the afternoon. They were largely boring ):

There was this one overnight camp I went to that in hindsight was really... Weird...
It was a church-run camp and I remember the counselor confiscating the Harry Potter novel I brought with me to read because they were "bad" /D;;;

Because magic is a profanity? ò_ó

Oh, well, I've just had one of those conversations with my son which feel like something HUGE.
We agreed to start giving him an allowance :mccute:

Not much, because he's only 7 and he does not go out with friends or anything like that. So we agreed on 2 euros a week.

The discussion started on Monday, cause he wanted a plushie that was for sale in the supermarket (spend a certain amount in groceries + add some cash) and I suggested he did his chores in the house for a pay.
But in the end he decided he's not gonna buy the plushie; he's gonna save it for something he might want more in the future.

I suppose he has not thought of Pokemon cards yet, but once he notice I'm sure most of the money will be spent on those :mclaugh:

That's a good amount to start with! He can now slowly learn to balance between getting small things or saving up for bigger things eh :mccute:

I remember when I was little, every Chinese new years I'd get red packets from relatives, and my parents let me decide what to do with the money, so I saved up for some years and was able to spend it on a family trip. It felt really good back then and was quite formative!

My son seems to be quite good at saving. At least so far.
He also got some money in Christmas and so, saved it up for a while, and then he decided to pay for our gerbils tank.
I think it's a good balance: learning to save up is great, learning to spend properly is even better.

I hope that now that he's gonna have an steady income he'll keep doing the same. We'll see.

I must go to work v_v

Unfortunately they don't give you days off for covid anymore, unless you are feeling quite unwell. And I'm not that bad - so some paracetamol and there I go.
Having breakfast in this very moment.

I also have some final exams, I'd rather make the effort and be there.
