Good to know that he's feeling better! And wow that does sound like a jam packed medical day ^^;;;;

Skin can be so fickle, the smallest thing can trigger reactions. Though on the other hand, it is always a good indicator of what's going on about you. Mine is basically a season-change-alert. Dryness and rashes flare up whenever there's a change in the air :mcargh:

Apparently it was some kind of allergic reaction, they just can't tell to what.
But since he's now feeling better he does not worry about it - if he ever has another episode he may figure it out, and if not there is no point in thinking about it at all.

He's a bit more concerned about the surgery.
While apparently it's not a risky surgery, it has a relatively slow recovery (a month, they said) and the doctor said that he should be avoiding sitting long hours.
Which is a pain in the ass. Literally.

Oh man, your hubby is in for a rough time eh D: Hopefully everything goes smoothly and he recovers well!

Will your work get more chill in the summer too? I can imagine it won't be easy taking care of everyone and working too D:

Yeah, we are both high school teachers, and our work gets way more relaxed in summer.
There won't be any classes in July, just paperwork and meetings, and more paperwork.
Then August is our holidays, so technically we don't have anything to do.

I say technically because we both like creating material for our classes during the holidays, so it's a pity if he can't work on his computer during a whole month.

It must be nice to have the same profession, you can have similar schedules and understand each other's work eh :D
What does your hubby teach?

Maths, same as me.
We actually met in college, and were good friends back then.

And, yeah, our schedules are great, not only because they are the same for both of us but because they match nicely our son's!

Oh wow that's perfect :DDD

You guys would be able to have awesome family times during vacations, that's super great!
I remember it was always kind of a downer in the summer when I get thrown into a bunch of day camps because my parents are busy working lol :mcheh:

Yes, we are very lucky.
It's impossible having a better summer schedule than ours.
We still need some help certain days in which both need to be physically in the high school, but nowadays that one can do most of the paperwork from home those are just a few days.

We have offered him some summer camps anyway, just in case he wants to go and be around his friends, but he has never been interested.
And since we don't really need it, he has never been to one.

I feel like summer camps are a bit of a hit and miss. I've been to some good ones where I met good friends, had good counselors, and it was a fun time. But the majority were kinda just... a drag D:

I only went to two summer camps, both meant staying there.
One when I was 10 (which was ok, nothing fancy but I had a good time) and another one when I was 11 (which had super cool activities... but I got bullied, so it was really really awful).
So my opinion is too polarized :|

I don't think my little super-shy akward little one is ready for those anyway.
But now there are what they call "urban" summer camps, which mean they have some activities but then your parents pick you up and you go back home.
Actually some of them only have a morning schedule, so it's not so intense.
Those are the ones we offered him, and I suppose we'll offer again this year.
