Haven't been to a con in forever (and I've never cosplayed), but I've always loved the atmosphere. Great fun.
And actually, there were only a few places that were really really loud, like the merchant area, the dining area and the main hall, at least from what I remember of the one I went to.

The one local(ish) one I've been to multiple times uses a gym for the merchants and Artist's Alley. One stop for all the shopping

haven't been to a con in ages too. probably since covid hit. too scared to go to one even now lol. in fact, i think it was toronto comic con this weekend lol. xD

Thematic (all the way from simply a color match to looking like part of the fit), character's face, and the Basic Blue are all options I've seen in pics

If I were to do cosplay (I wouldn't), I'd go for color matching or contrasting~ Or if it's a dangerous character I'd paint a scary grin or something, lol.
