Exactly, the bell icon also helps :)
Oh I agree, Eva, that would be a very useful option!

(bleh, I have the yuckiest taste in my mouth. My grandparents had a bag of fake sugar so I thought I'd take it back and use it up in something and it has an AWFUL aftertaste! This is far worse than toothepaste.... does anyone know how to combat this?!)
I wonder why they chose a bell icon to represent popularity? It doesn't seem very intuitive, but then I usually don't actually get what most icons are for so maybe I'm just bad with symbols.

I think the bell does not stand for popularity, it's basically something like an update/alert button :)

Yeah, I think the idea of the bell icon is that it represents giving you a signal/alerting you.
What kind of fake sugar was it? Yeah, they can have a bad aftertaste... Not sure what works best against them? Eating a little snack with a strong flavour of its own might work, or depending on what exactly the aftertaste is like (some are e.g. minty, for those that might work) eating something that the aftertaste fits with.

The only time I've had something like it was an herb leaf someone handed me on a garden tour, and I forget what that was.
The fake sugar was called "sucralose". Maybe it had expired or something? Surely it could not have intentionally tasted like that.
I've got a sprig of rosemary right now that I'm chewing on. It's super strong so it's overpowering it at the moment. We'll see how well it lasts.

Hm, I don't know that one. But it might not necessarily have expired, the fake sugars I've tried so far had all pretty strong additional tastes. Some were not completely unpleasant, but rather, like the minty I mentioned, not fitting with everything. That one was great with strawberries for example though, since the fresh taste worked there. But I've had pretty bitter ones as well.

Sucralose is a pretty common fake sweetener in premade stuff, isn't it?
Huh, google says that Splenda is made out of it too.

I wonder why it had such a lingering nasty aftertaste, then. Maybe it was meant to be combined with other things or only a partial substitute.

That certainly could be...did you just eat it straight?
