Aw, I like the idea of the fairies waking up and rewarding you for taking care of them, that's cute
I always just understood it as the fairies thanking you for helping out the land by giving you some of their special money

There's no "unsubscribe" at the bottom of the email? If not that is laaaaame.
Been awhile since I used Netflix, but there's gotta be a settings option in the account somewhere, and email settings for recommendations in there.

Ah, that doesn't sound acceptable at all, that they abuse their knowledge of your email by sending you random recommendations with no way to make them stop. :( That's the sort of thing which would make me look at changing emails.

I don't get emails by Netflix with recommendations, so there must be a way to turn it off :D
And I love Akili's fairy idea! Shapeshifter stories are super interesting!

I'm also paranoid that's some good recommendation like when Daredevil gets a new season or if they ever out put Smallville on (stupid Hulu)

Oh so you mean that you miss that without the emails?
I don't get emails and I don't miss anything I want to see, because netflix usually recommends it to me directly on the website anyway :)

I have netflix on my browser toolbar and check it every so often. There is a little BELL icon at the top right that tells you when something popular, or something on your watchlist has new episodes.
They also put a red banner on the icon for the show itself so if you watched it recently, it'll be on your home feed and it'll say: New Episodes.
I have never gotten emails from netflix and the only reason I would want to was if they listed things that were leaving, and things that were new. Which I wish they did...
