I used to bake quite a lot, but haven't done that much lately...

I love baking, because it's hard for me to get warm enough, and hanging around a hot oven is perfect for that. Plus it makes the house smell good....

but I haven't been doing much of it lately. So many other things happening, I'm mostly just slowly depleting the freezer of food prepared earlier. I'm going to run out soon....

For me, it would be sticky buns! Something about them just really appeals. I like to spread applebutter instead of dairy butter in the middle with the cinnamon and other spices, and the pecans and sugar.

skillet bakes.

Lots of chopped greens and chopped onions and lots and lots of spices and some roasted garbanzo beans and chopped green olives mixed in and then pour in some soup broth, plus sake or white wine, and sprinkled cheese, then cover and bake and then take the lid off and bake more.

Or forget the cheese and crack a few eggs in, instead.

Or forget the garbanzo beans and olives and chop up all the fresh mushrooms instead to add in, and prep an aubergine sauce to put on top.

Or just chopped greens and onions with half-and-half yoghurt/mustard as a sauce stirred in, plus a crust of sesame seeds on top.

Or whatever else, really.

Skillet bakes is my next favorite.

What about you, Nankuii?
