Indeed, for me Christmas time is sweets time xD!
The Lebkuchen are the reason why for me, too.
I think it's fine to start 1 month before Christmas, but September.. I don't like that either :qhehe:

Yes :qhehe:
No, I didn't treat him badly or anything. I mean, he said he did not see it coming, so I guess everything seemed normal to him.
I agree, there's no need in being friendly or even friends with me, but I would like it very much if he stopped giving me that look.

Hi, Ykuutsu!

Chrizine, Julez, can't you guys just make your cookies whenever you want them in the year?

I guess we could.. But it only feels and tastes good during Christmas time :P
They have that kind of flavour that I would associate with Christmas only. They wouldn't taste good in Spring or Summer :o

ha ha, okay. I tend to make holiday food outside of just the holiday, when the ingredients are available. If it needs something fresh that is very seasonal then it is hard, but I don't know of too many cookies that use fresh fruits or vegetables.

Yeah, one could make some Christmas cookies outside of the season, but it'd just feel wrong :D For me now would be alright to start with them. I think. They should definitely be available all through December, but some sweets in November when it's starting to be all cold and grey is good, too.

Also, there's the stuff that you don't make yourself but that is storebought. Like, a lot of filled chocolate treats and the like. And the Lebkuchen. I've never tried making them at home, although I guess one could...

Julez, yeah, a surprising breakup is not what I'd call treating him horribly. If you had cheated on him with his best friend or something like that, I'd get being mad about it forever, but just a normal breakup?

Akili: Not really, but it was harder than I thought finding the materials. I should have gone straight to a crafts store, but it gets expensive... so I went through multiple thrift stores. The only thing I ended up buying from the craft store was the green cardboard paper!

Oh, sounds like you did a fancy version of it! (I don't know why, but I was picturing something like bending an old wire hanger for the frame and then wrapping a green skirt around it keeping it in place with a few baste stitches, or similar. But that'd be too heavy.... green cardboard paper makes much more sense!)

Wow, that sounds complicated xD Haha yeah, a headband, wire to stick up the paper, and paper :D And... a ton of super glue haha
