YouTube is a great teaching resource. I can’t draw but watching speedpaints is cool.

A year’s effort counts for something. c: you gotta start somewhere.

I’m trying to motivate myself more because I tend to give up easily. It starts with procrastination then sort of escalates.

Currently, I listen to a podcast of an artist who is a life coach
and she talks a lot about procrastination.
So her podcast has been super helpful for me as I procrastinate a lot. :mcsweat:

I watch a large variation of videos. From speedpaints to tutorials, whatever I can find about art and fundamentals, and brushes, etc.

But last night took the huge step of doing an actual lip study
which helped me immensely i feel.

Going to do 10 more lip studies later tonight but for now, my tablet actually
has to charge. :mcheh:

Oh, that sounds like a great podcast. C:

That’s a good plan, and much less expensive than school.

I’m glad you found the lip study helpful! I like hearing about artistic processes.

Your thread makes me want coffee.

It seriously is and I kinda feel it's saved
my art because I was just...unmotivated and very unfocused on art
as I was just focused on the fear of making art. :mcheh:

Mhm. Plus if I do need extra guidance past youtube there is an affordable
site called Skillshare, and many professional artists help others learn art
for a lot less than art school. A lot of artists even do a 2-month free thing all the time since skillshare sponsors a lot of artists.

Yeah, me too. And finding out my own process Is going to be a fun yet bumpy ride as coloring is something I desperately want to get good at.
I am also going to do some eye studies too. :mchappy:

Haha, same. though i already had coffee today. :mccute:

I wish I could hear, because there are so many podcasts now! I like expanding my horizons, and even if I can’t draw, some general tips on creativity help.

Oh, neat! The internet is great. I think I’ve heard of skillshare before, though I don’t use it.

Coloring is so cool. :D I am blown away at the amazing stuff that happens. Good luck on your eye study!

It’s late here. Coffee would be a bad idea. ...I still want it lol.’

Those Asian cappuccino hard candies are so good!

She has a youtube.
Her name is Katy Arrington.

She has many good topics on overall just life and thinking.

I haven't used it yet as I am kinda like afraid to.
Social anxiety always is like "If people are involved no thanks." XD
But maybe if I get really stumped I'll do it.

Yeah, me too. I really want to paint realistically.
So I am going to be working towards that.
Thank you.

Same. I never have coffee more than once a day otherwise
I won't sleep. :mcheh:

I've never heard of those.

That podcast sounds really cool. :mccute: I might take a listen sometime, as I recently got into downloading and listening to a couple podcasts.

Moody; how were the studies?

You’ve inspired me to give a shot at vector drawing again. My hand issues prevent me from drawing otherwise, but maybe I can vector something?

I have some kind of social anxiety too. I even hate going to the park.

Here is a link to the coffee candy. link
It is so good.
