"Once a Hero", by Elizabeth Moon.

(I can't tell if this author just does exceedingly good research or has a huge range of friends who let her pick their brains or what, but however it's done I really love the result)

I'm now reading an older textbook on soil. It was FREE! :qh: I love free books.
Also, the writing is surprisingly decent for being a textbook.
At least I think it's a textbook.
It might have been meant to be a reference book, but it starts right out at the very beginning so...
Called "The Soils That Support Us", by Charles E Kellogg.
