I was reading something called The Postman who Delivers Enlightenment? I don't know if it's the translation but it read awfully pretentious. It's just basically a collection of letters by this same man and the man who wrote the letters wrote the foreword and it just all sounds super smug and self-congratulatory.
So I took a break and read a silly mystery novel instead called the Dark Homecoming, all about this voodoo vampire zombie. And he spells it vodou and it drove me nuts because I've never seen it spelt that way before. Still, it was a lot more enjoyable compared to the other book, even though some lines read like they'd be more at home in a Scooby-Doo script and one line even taken directly out from the Wizard of Oz.

I'm on an Andre Norton kick currently.
(Oh! And I really recommend "Uprooted", it made me laugh quite a bit!)

I think i'm finally over my icos hangover which is good because I still have too many things to read before I start college in less than two weeks. @___@
I've finished finnikin of the rock (a+), the assassin's blade (a+), and have just started inkheart, which might be the cause of my next hangover because i'm already hooked and i'm only on page fifteen. We'll see how it goes.

I just finished (another) re-read of Angels and Demons. It's on my top 10 list, for sure.

I'm on the second volume of the journals of the Lewis & Clark expedition.
Interesting stuff! I really don't envy the editors, though. Lot of disparate material to try and pull together in a comprehensible way.

I literally just finished Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. A fascinating read if I say so!

inkheart did not, in fact, give me a hangover (the plot fell a lil flat although it was very well-written).
i only have three days including today before i move into college dorms so i'm gonna tackle something considerably shorter than inkheart, luckiest girl alive.

Read a book called "Mist" by Susan Krinard.
I don't recommend it, it suffers from pacing issues, Plot-Convenient-Stupidity on the part of pretty much every character in there, and Special Snowflake Syndrome.
Too bad, too, because there was some great phrasing and concepts. It had potential but disappointed.
So now I'm reading "Stonework: Techniques and Projects" which is very well laid out and makes things seem quite possible, and now I really want to lay down stone pathworks through my garden and do retaining walls myself.
Possibly a small stile-like thing across the west property line.
Ah, dreams. If only one had money, no? Lol
