Oh man, is it like parent-teacher interview time, Amura? I feel like that's always such an awkward time of year for everyone. I hope things slow down and get less hectic for you soon.

Well, that's the way it is, you always have some hectic weeks at the end of each trimester - but on the other hand everything is less busy at the beginning.
So on the whole it is balanced.
But I can't be around and post much, that's a pity


Yeah, there are parent-teacher interviews.
I've had a bunch of them throught the year, and I usually don't have any problem with those.
There are two I'm a bit concerned about. One because the mom is, well, the kind of mom who never finds blame in her son.
The other one because I think they have a disagreement with me, and in those cases I want another person from the school to come to the interview with me. Just in case.

Yeah it's gotta be rough dealing with parents who think their kids can do no wrong. Not the greatest way to raise a functional human being.

Well, the last few interviews went very smoothly, including the one with that overprotective mom.
I still have to meet with those parents tomorrow, and the counselor agreed to be present so I'm at ease. I actually talked to the girl and she does not seem to know what her parents want to talk about, so I suppose my concern had no foundation...

Now I have a ten minutes rest, enough to drink a cup of tea, pick up my soon, make lunch... and get the car to drive to the city.
Doctor (routine) appointment.
Just another busy day.

Talking to parents is stressful in every way >_<
I'm glad to hear that things have gone relatively smoothly so far though! Fingers crossed that it will continue this way

I don't live in a complicated area, I mean, here most children are nice and behave well, and most parents are reasonable and polite. So usually it's not a big deal.
Most parents simply seek advice on how to deal with teenagers, or wonder what would be a good academic path for them. Pretty normal enquiries.


And today I went to my endocrinologist.
Everything is apparently ok, the medication does not need any adjustament, but she wants me to make an ultrasound to check everything is actually ok. Just in case.
I always feel glad that some doctors take every posibility in consideration and make sure everything is alright. Makes me feel safer.

In my work, I've always had to deal with parents who're all the way in China, and it can get frustrating because often these parents have no idea how learning here works and have super unrealistic expectations.... //sighs

Having a reliable doctor is such a fortunate thing~
Funny coincidence, just today I went with my mom to her general practitioner for a check-up, and the doctor was super nice and agreed to take me as a patient immediately as well! Which is extremely lucky because there's a huge doctor shortage here and most family doctors aren't taking any new patients

Oh I'm glad you were able to get in to have that checked Amura. Good that they're checking everything carefully. Are you still having problems with having to sleep 20 hours though? I hope they can find a cause for you.

They are physically in China but send their children to study there? Wow, that must be quite complicated.
I've never had such a case.
Inmigrants here usually don't know anything about the educative system here, but at least they are with their children to support them. Which I think makes a whole world of a difference.

And yeah, I'm feeling much better since she raised my dose.
Mentioned that I'm feeling awful one week a month, but that's pretty much it. I'm a menstruating zombie!
(Btw I'm currently reading a book on menstruation, and it's quite enlightening.)
