You know, I used to wonder why there were so many different terms for magic based classes. D&D splits them up based on whether it's innate magical abilities, magic learned through study, or magic granted to you via contract with like celestial or demonic beings. I thought that was an interesting way to handle it!
EDIT: Woo, another QC coupon!

Yeah. I like everyone's different take on magic.
I've read many different book series with their own magic systems. I love how they are all different and creative. One of my favorites if from the furies from the Furies of Calderon series by Jim Butcher.

Rubie: -flops tiredly into thread- I had work and entertaining a guest and it was exhausting. Why. D:
Adulting is hard. Older generations say we complain too much, but they didn't have to deal with crazy job requirements and inflation in like everything. I mean, it wasn't easy for them either, but give us some credit.
I never find anything unless I actively go looking. Tiny communication problem...
I live in the suburbs, and really only go out for necessities, like unavoidable appointments. It's not fun. D:
...hoarder alert! XD no but really, I am having a hard time being mature and controlling myself.
I hope you'll never be able to! Health is such an underrated privilege. May you have it forever. :D
Yay~
I love my lamps, too.

I don't know. I have such a hard time interacting with people irl. Honestly, I would hate myself if I was someone else. I'm weird, I say more than I need too, I make stupid comments just to speak, and I really don't like talking. I really dislike it when my mom has guests over because I never know what to say and they always probe me about my college degree. Why is dealing with people so hard.
RIGHT? It's not all go to school and get the job you want. It's hard work. YES, they didn't need to go to school themselves to get a high paying job, the cost of living it up. People cannot really live on one income alone anymore (or so the stats say, refer to random textbook/class I took that we talked about this). Some people struggle with two incomes. You can't have just a working father and the mother stay at home anymore, unless the father makes mad money. It's annoying how the baby boomers push our generation as uncivil. Honestly, older people are more difficult to deal with than the younger generation. LET me tell you, my bank customers are mostly older/elderly and when we get the few youngins in there, it's like night and day. Now, don't get me wrong, there are some really sweet older customers, but some of them are the straight up b word.
And yes, it wasn't easy for them, but they are putting their standards on us (I'm assuming you're my age here), but they are not updating that the cost of living is higher now than it was back then.
That sounds like me. I was always the one that starts the conversations and ask if they wanted to hang out. Honestly, I think my coworkers know me better than my friends in high school did.
That's understandable. before I started working part-time/full-time (I was jobless for ~5 months after I graduated, I would only go out when I necessarily needed something.
At least you're better than me when I started. I would pollwhore for FP to get knuffels. and slowly started building the hoard up, and using that FP to get items. oh I was a mess. Still am.
I will keep that in mind, though I am no the healthiest, seeing as I'm over weight by way more than I ever want to admit (and terrible at kicking myself into gear to be proactive about losing it). I went to the dr. today and now I'm seeing a specialist. that's going to be a thrill and a half.
lamps are life, lamps are love.
