Well aren’t there those cakes that expand into a ball when made properly. And if not, they just sink into this disappointing looking deflated balloon? XD

Even with measuring cups, I would probably get it wrong lol. XD

Oh a souffle?
I think they're just very sensitive to falling. Just about any cake can 'fall'. You just have to be careful with it.

You're silly. You just have to pay attention to what you're doing. I usually double check at least a few times to make sure that I measured right and used the correct amounts.

I dunno i guess thats what it could be called? XD;;

Nope numbers will always be my nemesis. XD its funny but ppl still think i’m good at math when i sometimes do random very small very minor calculations in my head. Like basic add/subtract and they’re like “omg your math is so good!” And i’m like “what are you talking about, i failed grade 10 math…8u”

Souffles are known for their falling so that's what I'm assuming you're talking about.

Ok. I'm very very bad at math but I don't usually have a problem with it. Unless they want me to convert a fraction. Then I bring it to my husband. lol.

I failed a lot of math classes. I really should have gone to the accessibility people but I was embarrassed.

I also can do small amounts of very simple math in my head. But I do it in a very weird and different way than anyone else I ever talk to. lol.

then.....i guess that's what it is lol. XD

ohhhhhhhh anything to do with pricing or converting things, don't even think about it, i'd be screwed. xD;;

i use my fingers for adding/subtracting. if i'm super lazy, i'll just use a calculator. and most mobile devices (even my itouch) come with calculators lol. xD

Why embarrassed?

Honest question.
Cause I have an student now who is very embarrassed about her health issues - a car run over her two years ago, she's got health issues for the rest of her life, but when I try to bring up the matter she always dodges it.

Maybe some people especially younger ones get self conscious about their image. Like they’re young, still probably going through puberty and the like, and yet they’re not physically perfect in their own eyes. I think we can better deal with these issues as we get older.

Well, in her case there is nothing noticeable at first sight. Apparently it is when she tries to walk, but in classes she's just not walking.
I definetely did not know anything until she brought a document for missing classes, and well, it was not a regular doctor note. Kinda worried me so I asked her about it. Then I phoned her mom, who said the kid did not want to tell anyone, but her mom gave me information regarding medication in case of a crisis and that kind of stuff - which is important to know!

Something like that can also be really traumatic. Maybe it is still triggering for her to talk about it and be reminded of it. :mccry:
Does your school have counselors and/or student support teams that are trained in this kind of support that you can work with?

Well i think parents should be upfront of about these things. Especially if its about medical conditions.
But yeah i still think when you’re young, you don’t like other people to know there’s something wrong with you.
