I see that now, but I doubt I'm the only one that skimmed the announcement thread and missed it, but as I said, it's the logic behind it that I find wrong, otherwise farmers would be out in conditions that could be dangerous for the same reasoning.

Very true, makes me think of the hurricanes in RuneFactory 4, I'm still mad that even though I had the points for it the game wouldn't give me the option to send away the hurricane. D:<

There's also the fact that something can occur to make it so a person can't harvest within 24 hours, I know the day that it occured for me that I had the plant wither, I had things going on and wasn't really able to concentrate on anything on the net the entire day.

Also I've never played Rune Factory 4, so I can't help there, I only played some of the first one and the whole beating up monsters with a hoe thing got on my nerves fast, plus having monsters respawn everytime I tried to go plant anything.

O.o
Monsters don't spawn in town for this one, and you have your farm in the town and in spots out in the area where monsters don't spawn. o.O

They weren't spawning in town, outside of the intro, but basically the town had no fields, you had to go to caves iirc to get most of the prime fields, and one of them had a monster spawn all the time right as you entered no matter how many times you cleared it. I think there was only one field that i can recall that I didn't have to majorly fight monsters to get to, but it wasn't very big or that fertile iirc(but it's been several years since I played it last XD)

I may eventually give 4 a try to see how different it is, I just was really burned on the series because of the first one. preferred the Harvest moon series more tbh XD.

I'll tell you this, as far as I've gotten there's no need to actually travel to the field once you find it, you can just take the airship once you get the license for it. :3 That's what I've been doing. And you can expand your main farm in the castle a LOT, so you don't need to even leave home really unless you're doing crops outside of the current season. There are four area I know of four sure exist, two of which I've been to and they are themed after the different seasons. So if its currently Autumn you can go to the Summer field and the crops will be grown in a summer environment.

by Tam I am
*sits by tsukiko and leans against her shoulder a bit* It's cool enough here finally (yay!) that being close to other people isn't torture anymore.

I went nuts last night and bought ALL the troth chips. Even if I have other shoulder pets, the chips fit nicely into things sometimes.

Why would you do that?
Do what?

See, that's a major difference, there was no airship at all in the first one, and there was no main farm at the castle that I recall. The first one compared to how the 4th one sounds was majorly different.
