Maybe you need to extend it geographically? Apply for jobs a little farther away which are still convenient to reach by car/bus/train ?

Eva - sorry to hear that :( I know how applying and not hearing back or hearing back and being rejected is hard :( I hope you get something soon.


Tbh I think the job situation everywhere is just hard. So many older people who should retire but can't or won't and so many employers who want people magically skilled 3 years experience and all this other stuff just makes it much harder.

In Poland we have plenty of job offers, but people either don't want to work those particular jobs, or they want too much money for it (according to some article I read not too long ago). Generally employers here were complaining that people demand too high salaries. Well, duh, we want to live, not just vegetate

Yeaah we want wage rises too.

Oh yeah we have jobs that people don't want to do like fruit picking. Which is seasonal.

For us it's cashier, cleaner, etc. A lot of those jobs are dominated by foreigners nowadays. For example housekeepers are usually Ukrainian women.
