I'm only 30 pages in so far. So far so good though. Pretty much the exact same beginning as Sense and Sensibility.

the blurb sounds interesting but an ebook is worth 12€... I'm not sure I'll try it

Yeah, I only have it because someone left it in my "take a book, leave a book" box!

that explains it. I'm curious what you think when you're further into the book
I downloaded a few romances found on bookbub. for the days when I'm too done after work for complicated stories. though I'm pretty sure I have three other romances in my ibooks. or four. and they proooobably sound light and interesting too

I haven't time to read for a few days so I tried at least to listen to an ebook while I was working. I actually am really struggling with this ebook. It's taken me most of the year, I think, and I'm only halfway through. It's super long and I've just got lost in the plot, I think it would have been better suited to just reading.

I'm 55 pages into The Duchess now, and I'm getting less impressed. So far the author keeps telling us how great the main character is and how awful her brother is. But it's really repetitive so far. And rather than proving it, and showing me how the characters are good and bad, and making me feel something for the characters, so much of it is just the author telling me that they're good and bad.

@jacob: maybe that's a sign to start rereading it as a text? or give up?
@Sanssouci: how many pages are there?
