I'm kinda jealous you have anything within walking distance. I can technically walk to the grocery store or Starbucks, but I think walking to Starbucks is probably a counter productive goal. >.>
Aww, you should go if you can. It's definitely one of my favorite places that I've been. Then again, Hawaii is very different from where I'm from so it just seemed so stunning and new. It's beautiful though and I kinda want to move there.

@Kit: Thanks a lot <3 I hope you have fun XD
I do walk to the grocery store. I get muscle training from bringing everything back home XD
As for Starbucks, you could still just order something simple and/or small. I do that sometimes as well ^^ (because let's face it, Japan's Starbucks limited drinks are too interesting to resist ^^)
I lived in the middle of nowhere for most of my life so it's quite a big change. I do miss the cows though. And the scenery.
Hawaii looks nice and all but we have Okinawa and it's closer :p
I'm still curious. I want to go everywhere XD

Hehe I saw that follow back
Heck I need to post over 100 times a day just to get what I want
I might buy two of those rabbits and set a reminder somewhere about them so I can get what I want

the more I think about this, the less i would mind it -if there were an evergreen mint variety. I don't want a muddy mess all winter. Of course, I'd try to plant something else with it, because it doesn't really have enough leaves to make that practical.
Ha ha ah ha ha, okay, that one comment addressing the commentators on the advisability (or lack thereof) of mint lawns was like it was tailored to me. Although I have met mint. I guess I pictured it growing up in the middle of a patch of thyme or something.
And now I need to look into whether ground-cover chamomile is a viable option in my zone....

I wish there were nice things outside to take pictures of, but unless I was into photos of buildings and cars, it is not the case. I have a field day when I go vacationing or like, to a botanical garden though. I love taking pictures of nature and landscapes. I went photo crazy in Hawaii last summer.
My brother has a photo album just of interesting graffiti he's seen. Maybe you could make every walk a scavenger hunt for interesting graffiti, and other street art?

I hated mowing the lawn.
And now I wish I could. Just having a balcony is kinda sad.

I'm very happy to live in an apartment and not have to worry about a lawn, but I still have to mow my parents. XD Especially with how hot it gets here, it's just awful!
