They're the only two responsible ones in the whole story I s2g.

Which makes it more painful because they were able to let go and have fun with each other...

When things get really bad I bet everyone feels a little lost without them to help out.

Adam is just, such a workaholic when you think about it LOL. Like? He's always been on his mission. On it, about it, planning. Etc. He has to be responsible for his crew and for his family on the Surface.

That's why I'm like, let him have his candy you know? LET HIM ENJOY CUTE CAFÉS AND HOT COCOA.

And Shane is so desperate to prove he's useful and not a waste of space that he's hellbent on helping Adam even when things are so bad hahaha.

He needed their friendship to loosen him up and he RUINED IT.

Shadam fluff is the death of me. So, who is going to go for Shane on the rebound? Or possibly take advantage of Adam while he's hurting? Someone other than Benjamin perhaps?

I'm not sure. It would be really hard to get to Shane anyway, but especially on the rebound. He's not really the type to do anything like that.

However, after he and Molly meet again they do get close. Not dating close, but considering Adam is the only person Shane was ever super comfortable with, it's gotta sting seeing him a little happier when he's around her. And it would be easy to confuse it for romance.

As for someone taking advantage of Adam? I dunno. There's always Eros and Licentia lmao but I'm not sure either of them would actually use their abilities on him. But I digress.

But I can't think of anyone from the like. MAIN cast who would, given the current canon?

I don't know? Could be some rando or a new character. Or you know, one of the Seven Deadly. They still haven't been established properly yet so who knows. I could see Adam getting around when he has free time away from his plots and his 'kids' though. I mean, he's not some uguu virgin so there's that.

I don't think he'd get emotionally attached or anything, but it's not like that part of him gets completely put on hold I think.

But yeah I mean anyone really? I'm sure it'll piss Shane off no matter what.

But I don't think Shane could bring himself to do anything like that just because it's not like him at all.

I mean.

It was also a good ship, is the thing. But yanno, it's fine. We're all fine. I don't really know though, there's some stuff I need to reorganize. I should write canon/canon-adjacent drabbles so I can get a better idea of what I want.
