"Hm?" Kyle heard Helena speaking, though her voice had a different tone then usual, one that sounded much more... inviting then normal. He had started to turn his head to look in her direction when she licked his neck. Kyle jumped, his hand quickly grabbing his neck where she had bite, and now licked, him. "Helena!" He said, obviously surprised, his ears beginning to burn and spread a blush to his face. It was like she was trying to torment him. Though he could guess she didn't realize just quite how much, probably didn't occur to her. Then again, maybe it did. His jump had left him now facing her, and he shifted again so he was sitting cross-legged, hand still rubbing his neck.
Kyle couldn't help but sigh a little awkwardly, as explaining to anyone really how he'd snapped in the shop wasn't really something he wanted to do, but once she continued talking he realized she wasn't actually referencing what happened afterwards. Helena was talking about the part that she'd seen. He didn't really get an opportunity to talk, and Helena didn't stop until she'd already began making assumptions about his supposed relationship with Marie. Kyle looked at her, sighing again. "I've never been with anyone else before." He said, rubbing his neck. "You might not believe it, but I haven't. Honestly, hearing their thoughts kind of turns you off to that sort of thing." He almost sounded like he was trying to joke, but it was obvious he was also being serious. After a short pause he sighed again, his hand moving from the bite to the back of his neck, which he rubbed awkwardly.
"I have no plans of cheating on you, or as you said forcing you to share me." His tone showed he actually found this idea rather distasteful, and from his facial expression it appeared he was remembering something he found equally distasteful. "I decided that long ago, and some girl isn't going to change that." He looked back up at Helena, and realized that she might assume the girl he was talking about was her, so he quickly added. "The girl from the shop is Marie, she's the daughter of a researcher I know who works out of the town. I've helped him with a few of his books and plant-based experiments. I've known her since she was a kid, and even if I hadn't I'd have no interest in her." Kyle sighed again, running his hand through his hair and leaning back a bit, which made the fact he'd unbuttoned it farther then normal more obvious.
He was obviously thinking of how he could explain himself more, as considering how much Helena had already misunderstood him he wanted to make sure it didn't happen again. Finally, he sighed a final time before looking up at Helena. "I actually threatened to severely injure her if she tried that again," He chuckled, though he didn't sound amused. "Not looking forward to talking to her father, then again he might be more amused then anything. Knowing him you never know." Kyle ran his hand through his hair again, before looking up at Helena. He stared at her for a few moments. "You don't need to justify asking me things you know, it's not like I'm going to get angry at you or anything." From this conversation, it was becoming obvious she felt the need to do so, which wasn't necessary.
