I watched it ALL THE TIME when I was younger. I thought it was the best movie ever and I made my dad buy it off DirecTV every night for me to watch or I would scream and wail. I wonder why he didn;t just buy the DVD...? xD I was a spoiled kid...

Hayao Miyazaki is amazing, I love all of his work so far. Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away are my favorites. Nausicaa follows right behind them, that was an awesome movie. I first saw My Neighbor Totoro when I was about 7 or 8 years old, and I have always loved it.

studio chibli is just fantastic and Miyazaki is a wonderful creator.
to this day spirited away, howls moving castle, and the castle in the sky are my favorites, but that doesn't mean that i dont like all of the other ones either. They are just as great as the others:)

A Spirited Away. It's a wonderful masterpiece. A friend of mine in grade school once complained that it was 'too long', but that's only because of the commercials in between (they watched it on TV for the first time). I burned them until they finally got some sense into their brain.

My other favourites were Nausicaa, Mononoke Hime, Totoro, Laputa, Yesterday, PomPoko, Ponyo and so much more.

Too bad Hayao Miyazaki is resigning now. Says he's getting too old for his job and his son, Goro Miyazaki, will take his place; Which is what I fear the most. I wasn't particularly very impressed of Tales from Earthsea.

I've seen/own all Miyazaki apart from The Castle of Cagliostro. I just hate Lupin III and couldn't bring myself to watch it beyond the first two minutes.

One that you didn't have in your poll that I particularly likes was Whisper of the Heart (the one before The Cat Returns).

I am a fan of ghibli's animation and artstyle but I seem to have a love/hate relationship with them. I thought spirited away was beautiful, the characters were physically intriguing and the world was magical but the story and characters (personality-wise) didn't grab me.

I love howl's moving castle though, the story, characters, I loved everything about it.

I thought my neighbor totoro was really cute. The cat returns went down a different path to where I thought it would go but where it went, it was not all that fun. Kiki's delivery service; I had such high expectations that it just couldn't live up to, I'd like to watch it again though as that was over 5 years ago.

When I was in japan last I went to the ghibli museum. It is a very amazing place and highly highly recommended.

I'm keen to see the borrowers as well when it gets a release here.

Yes! It's a really cute movie. I adore those little soot creatures!
I love all of Miyazaki's movies, actually, but Spirited Away was the first of his I ever saw.

Ironic that I'd find this, since I watched it yesterday for the third time. :) The only thing I don't like about it is how whiny Chihiro is...
