My right hand is severely atrophied, and I hate right handed shakes. I was impressed by a physical therapist who shook my left hand, though!
The worst tbh. I feel you.
I’m writing, and spending time on kofk. I can’t do much, so u have loads of free time. Any plans for you?

We have so much in common. lol.
I do like it when people go for the left. Or at least if they go for a right handed one, notice the cane, then change hands. Lots of people just make me do this weird hand holdy thing that's uncomfortable for everyone.
I am gearing up to finish filling out some disability paper work.
Same for me. Can't do much, lots of free time.
I'm watching Netflix, playing on here and Flight rising, procrastinating on my paperwork. lol.

The worst club in the world.
No one’s ever changed hands for me. I’m a bit of a shut-in now, but when I was in college, I hated networking events.
I just...how do they not notice your cane? That’s like having an invisible visible disability. I can relate to that, because after my facial palsy got severe and my deafness set in, someone tried to stop my benefits because “I didn’t look disabled.”
Paperwork is awful. ‘nuff said.
I could never really get into FR. i’ve played on and off, but nothing lasts.

And...I'm totally behind again. lol
My left hip hurts, well it's in the butt area and I feel like I was stabbed there. I need to go to the doc's, but I'm busy right now. We have some things going on.

That sounds painful. :( I hope it’s nothing serious.
Good luck when you manage to see a doctor!

Ouch, DC, that doesn't sound good. Hope it goes away soon!
Audriella and Light, I'm glad that you both at least have this outlet here at KofK as a way to spend time and socialize even if you can't get out much.

Well it's been coming and going. I'm alright right now. So it might not be anything to worry about. I might have slept wrong.
I'm tired, but more like worn out tired.

MissNikki: kofk is so nice. :) I get to meet wonderful people and stare at pretties.
DC: If it’s something temporary and not serious, that’s good. Pain of any kind sucks though.
Is it early in the day for you? I hope you get good rest sometime.

Audriella - True that. Lamest club everrrr.
People are dicks, man. I also stay at home most of the time. I just don't have the energy to go out. I try to go out at least once a week, groceries at least.
Omg. It's amazing how people don't notice things. Like most people will either stare for uncomfortably long. OR they will literally ignore your existence. I use a wheelchair semi often and people lose their minds. Like they will either press themselves to the far wall to get out of my way or get all up in my space. I've had people practically climb into my lap trying to get to something, not say a thing. I've even had people grab the handles on my chair without asking and steering me out of the way.
Government is awful to disabled people. I just want enough money to not die. Please. I get a lot of guff for being too young too. I'm 28 and people are like you're too young to be disabled. Really? Super morons.
I don't talk to anyone on it. I just like breeding the dragons. lol.
DC - We like to talk. lol
Aw, poor thing. What did ya do to it? Do you have a heating pad? Those help me a lot.
MissNikki - I'm so glad to have been born in a time where I can have the internet. It makes life so much easier.

light; I can’t walk (no balance) and getting into a car is a huge production. Outside of medical visits, I rarely venture forth.
I’m a wheelchair user, too! Though I avoid crowds and people. But a long time ago, these two unconnected things happened:
-right after a surgery, as I was out and recovering, these nuns “blessed” me with the healing touch
-later, home and grocery shopping (pre-wheelchair), I was hugged unwelcomingly by a self-checkout clerk
I have boundary issues now. It’s almost as if being disabled strips you of rights to basic human decency.
I’m about to turn 27, so we have that in common! My ssi/ssdi paperwork was a hilarious exercise in “okay, what can I do?” Evidently, whoever reviewed my case agreed. But if I wasn’t subsidized by my parents, I would be dead or in filth.
I love the internet, too. There’s a chance i’ll lose left hand function, and I dread the day it may happen.
