There's also swinging. Which is where you just have sex with other people and not a relationship. Or threesomes and moresomes. Those can be difficult to negotiate. But if you're not attracted to other people while attracted to one person I don't know if that would work for you.
I always say there's nothing wrong with monogamy. It's a very natural want to be your partner's only partner.
I don't appreciate when people of either party bash on the other. It annoys me. I'm like, you don't have to be mean just because your relationship style is different than other people's.
I am also autistic! I hate when people lie and are purposefully dishonest.
If you're having relationship issues I do not suggest polyamory. That will just make things much more complicated. If you feel comfortable with discussing it I would be happy to listen/read. I have been told I give good advice.
Oh I thought only Wiccans celebrated Samhain now a days. Where are you from?
Yeah, lots of people can't conceptionalize having multiple sexual and or romantic relationships at once. It's totally fine.
I'm glad you had some nice weather!
I haven't gone out today but it's been pretty cool lately so that's nice.

Even people who are in relationships often don't know anything about relationships. Unfortunately many people do not care to learn how to make their relationships better. (Usually cis het men)
I very rarely go outside. It's scary out there. Also I'm disabled and outside is not very accessible. lol.
Do you like riding the bus?

Yeah the only things i know about relationships is from books and whatever i glean from watching other people.
Uh. Well i don’t love it but i don’t hate it either. Im kinda neutral about it. It gets me from point a to point b. slower than a car but as long as i get to my destination, i don’t care.

I think that's part of the beauty of relationships, each is different - you don't know anything about it and you gotta figure it out as you go
In my case, our relationship was built on a strong physical base, and I was typically the one who initiated.
Now I never want sex. He's baffled about it, and although he does not complain (that would require communication xD) I know that's bothering him.
Other than that we are great, so it's not like our relationship is in danger, but I like to have my mind open to options that might improve it.
I live in Galicia, NW of Spain. This region is of an strong druidic tradition, so our celebrations may seem "wiccan" for foreign people but for us they are just our classical celebrations.
And we do keep quite a few of pagan traditions here.
Next weekend we'll celebrate the Magosto, which as I know only exists here, and we'll make fires to cook chestnuts, and then we'll paint our faces black with the ashes and jump over the fires. It's fun.

Lol paint your face with ashes! And jumping over fires! XD (that was the only thing i noted from that roflmao)
Actually, a chinese tradition for cleansing yourself of bad luck is to jump over a brazier/small fire. XD
Spain sounds cool. I’ve only been to Hong Kong but i wish to travel to other places like that.

I wouldn't take very many cues from media for healthy relationships. Most of the relationships are hella toxic because that's more entertaining.
I really disliked riding the bus because it took up so much time. A one way trip to the city was an hour and a half. So I spent at least 3 hours a day on a bus and that was no fun at all. And sometimes the buses were crazy crowded so there was nowhere to sit down. So it was often painful for me.
I'm glad that you don't mind it too much.
Oh yes, you're always going to learn new things since every relationship is different. But there are basics among most relationships that lots of people just don't care about at all.
My relationship started out physical too! We were friends with benefits for a while. Then we caught the feelings. lol.
Well, I definitely suggest talking about the lack of sex and y'alls feelings about it before suggesting any possible solutions. How long has this been going on that neither of you have mentioned it to the other?
That's really cool. I knew that Samhain and stuff originated in Europe but I didn't know that it was still popular in some places.
We cook chestnuts around Christmas time here and the Catholics like to put ash on their foreheads for one of their holidays. It's fun to see where things are similar and where they start to diverge. I've heard of the fire hopping but I've never done it. Now I'm not able to because my disability is more severe now.

I actually just did a lesson where I taught my students about Samhain as the origin for Halloween traditions :D

well i think mainly cuz my current bus ride doesn't take that long. its probably around 20-40mins, give or take.
mine isn't really samhain, its more like....asian superstitions lol. jumping over fires and using pomelo leaves in your bath to get rid of bad luck. xD my mom was raised in a traditional buddhist family.
i love chestnuts.

Wait til you teach em about Christmas. Their minds are gonna explode. lol.
Oh yes, I know your traditions have a different origin. But isn't it really cool that even though your culture developed halfway across the world, that there are traditions that are very similar to each other?
I think that kind of thing is very neat. No matter how different people are from each other there are many similarities between us.
I don't think I've ever eaten a straight up chestnut but I do love them in things.
That doesn't seem too bad a ride. You can look outside and maybe read some. That's nice.
