I think beau is French for boyfriend or lover, I've read it sometimes in that sense.
But, anyway, just meant that he's a love, that you must be in love with such a cutie!!!
I suppose it's silly, but I always find a relation with pets.
My gerbils are my son's children, therefore my grandchildren xD

She's 3 weeks old tomorrow. We haven't thought of a name for her yet. I'm assuming "her" because she's also a calico and they're mostly females 8u

I have just looked it up.
I had no idea that calicos were usually female.
I have just found an article that said that male calicos are as rare as unicorns
