A kiddo at trade day today said that they're predicting a nasty dry season later in the year. Ugh. Better savour these storms while they're here, even if they took out my hard drive and my back-ups a month ago.

there's wildfires elsewhere in the country so apparently we've got some air quality issues.

I can't imagine the wildfires that'll come if it gets as dry everywhere as it will supposedly get here this summer. I hope not. I'm adjusting to daily rains. Maybe it'll be kinda like that everywhere instead.

yeah i think this years wildfires are pretty bad? i mean, it hasn't gotten HERE but like its bad enough in other parts of the country that wildfire smoke is messing with air quality here.
today is nice and balmy, very sunny.

It's been rainy and gray all week, with only tiny peeks of sun.
The temperature has been pretty moderate, which is nice, but the humidity is KILLER.

It’s going to rain here soon too, it’s on the forecast. They even said tornado warnings somewhere up…North maybe ish? Still, it’s sunny now. Very nice weather actually

Ooh, a tornado warning! I've never lived somewhere with tornadoes. Well, long term anyways. I'm currently living in KY, which ostensibly has tornadoes, but we're only living here for a month or two, so I'm not super worried.
Does the sky really turn strange colors, like in the movies?

I have no idea. Usually when they have a tornado warning, it’s nowhere near where I live lol. Besides, Ontario is not exactly known for having tornadoes llol. It’s more like a once in a blue moon freak storm. XD

Oh, that makes sense.
I grew up in Massachusetts, originally. Technically we COULD have a tornado warning, but I only remember once in my lifetime. The news was freaking out that everyone should go back to their homes. Dad went out to do errands.
How do you like living in Ontario?
Despite being so close to where I grew up, I've never been. My parents HATED road trips growing up, so anything more than 3 hours away was off-limits.
The only part of Canada I've been to so far was the Bay of Fundy area. Did a research trip up there back when I was a teenager. It was incredible. We worked on a floating research vessel, identifying species and doing species composition analyses on both the benthic areas of the bay, as well as the intertidal zone. It was SO WILD seeing such large tides.
I'd love to go back someday.
