I guess it doesn't matter much if I push an hour's worth of work to tomorrow lol. It's just so funny that this happened because I literally made the decision to work later and have a break first XD Any other time he's home late I just work as normal haha.

I actually ended up with a couple of days free. I had a bit of work inbetween and then nothing again. Today I've got work back on and I'm actually really glad now, it was getting a bit dull trying to figure out what to do with my time XD

I find things to do, but I get bored really quickly of doing the same thing. Plus I was alone all day for really long stretches and not really able to go out, so if I don't have work to do I start getting cabin fever. Plus, I turned all my hobbies into my jobs so I don't have anything like that to do which isn't technically work :P

Bump cuz it's been like 3 weeks
Coming here to rant because one of my biggest clients (or at least sometimes: they have been my biggest earner but also my biggest timewaster on different occasions) has decided to change the way they pay their writers. Basically, I'm screwed. If I continue working with them I'll be earning probably a tenth or less of what I get now, with the occasional chance to earn ten times more which isn't really enough for me. Time to go hunting for a new client D: also this is super bad timing because I was just about to ask one of my other clients for a payrise, now I can't risk it until I've found a stable replacement.

Aww that's some unfortunate timing.
Is there no space to discuss about it further? Maybe come to a different agreement but really hope you sort it out as it sounds like a stressful experience.

I asked her straight out about coming up with something else but nope. To be honest I think she just wanted to get rid of me. We had a few clashes recently where she told me I was hard to work with (and I was like lol, I literally complained one time because the company hugely let me down on something where they needed to support and protect me. then one more time I asked her for clarification on something and she tells me I've always been hard to work with. Whut?) so looks like she wouldn't offer me a deal even if she could.
Thing is I'm one of their most prolific and best-ranked writers. So there's going to be a big gap for content once I'm gone, and she's always been begging me to write more and more because she doesn't have enough content to keep up their publishing schedule. Maybe once she realises she kinda needs me she will change her mind. But then again it feels like she's the type to cut her own nose off to spite her face.
I seem to have a real problem when I get female bosses XD this is my second one who decided to be a bitch for no reason. I've had male bosses and clients who were hard to work with for various reasons, but never anything like what I've had from these two women. My mother (lol) says they probably can't handle working with another strong female because they feel threatened. I don't know though, that sounds to me just like when a mother says "oh the girls at school are making fun of you because they're jealous" rofl
