Yeah, sounds like a typical factory job.
I did it once in the summer because being from the countryside means doing that or farm work and I don't have found memories of it.
Everyone did get along pretty well though so at least there was that.

As for unions, well, obligatory not in the US so it's all a bit different, but I once worked in a place where the union rep was the HR lady's cousin. Very unefficient when you have a beef with the HR lady.

If you feel like ranting, we will all listen :qh:

Had to check with my app. Looks to be in the 70s here which is like 24C. It’s kinda a bit muggy bc it rained. I hate this kind of heat.

We had rain earlier too
Had a window open and got a chair wet. Oh well

Yeah that sounds like a MASSIVE conflict of interest. We had one where a board member is the WIFE of the one VP. She's now semi-retired and no longer in the union, thankfully

But our HR head? He offered to spank my lead for me. He's cool. Pretty sure he's the reason why this one time period couple years ago when I should've had enough attendance hits to be fired I only ended up with one and the other times were straight up not there, and the one I didn't know was there until about two months later, which is waaaaaaaay too late to get written up for. The limit for a write-up is a week. May be a bit longer if the person is out for a bit

That place would have been a lawsuit heaven if it wasn't government related (like I was in France, work laws favor the worker, they were breaking quite a few). Meaning you can start a lawsuit but your career is dead if you don't have the right contract. Which I didn't.
I am still glad I escpaed.

Yeah I think our laws are more for the corporations than the people
But then again the government is owned by the corporations, so that's not surprising

I guess it is more or less the same everywhere. It is just more or less hidden.

France just likes to strike a lot so they are more careful.

France will set itself on fire to get what the people want
