Until I was on meds I thought about the same thing. The meds have helped me integrate into society a bit more and I'm not having mental breakdowns every time I meet a new person.

I need to get new antidepressants. I was taking 3 and now I take 1 and the one I still take was given to me to make me sleep, not for my depression/anxiety.
I'm really not into leaving my house, though.
Like if I break my leg, MAYBE I'd go to the hospital.

In your case they'd probably need to put you on something stronger than what I have. Plus the stuff I have takes forever to actually start working.

I'm on Lexapro. Its a SSRI and it doesn't completely remove the anxiety but kinda helps me take a step back and reanalyze my situation and reactions a bit before I have a nervous breakdown. Its also used to treat those with depression.

That's what my sister takes.
I was taking...Pristiq and Wellbutrin but I stopped taking them because they stopped working.
I only take Amitriptyline now. It's for depression, but my psychiatrist gave it to me for my insomnia.
I took Xanax for a short time but it didn't work at all for me.
My psychiatrist was surprised by that xD

Xanax is typically very strong and may have sedating effects so I'm surprised it didn't work but I am happy its didn't basically knock you out.
Wellbutrin is a good one for depression, but I have heard of issues where people build a tolerance for it or their other meds interact with it.
I don't know much about amitriptyline unfortunately.
Lexapro works well for me because it doesn't sedate but it does make me super nauseous and for most people causes weight gain.

Yeah, my psychiatrist said "Really? People usually get addicted to it o_O" when I told him Xanax didn't work.
Now my grandpa gave me a Xanax for my first plane trip.
I was anxious af the whole plane ride and was extremely exhausted when I got off the plane.

Amitriptyline seems pretty strong. I take 100mg and it mixed with my Gabapentin knocks my ass out cold.
I actually heard of a murder/suicide story a while back where the man that allgedly kill his pets, girlfriend/wife, mutilated himself, then killed himself and only had one drug in his system and it was Amitriptyline.
I know medications work differently on people and depending on the amount he took - I don't think he could have done all of that.
When I take my Amitriptyline, I kind of become a zombie.
I just stare into space with my mouth open.
I don't think it's possible to commit that kind of crime :\
