It's random, so you never know when you are getting one...

The forum is always a bit more active when the caravan is around, which usually means more threads in which you can post.
But if you are active the rest of the month you can earn quite a bunch of donuts during that time too. I know I do.

I forgot to post my statistics at the end of the caravan this time.
Oh well.
It's not like this is the only chance.

I find that I'm always more inspired to post in hopes of random donuts when I don't have that many to begin with; when I have a lot stockpiled I'm just not as motivated for some reason.

I suppose I've kinda set a deadline for each item.
I mean a new item is released every three months, so ideally one would want to be able to collect enough donuts for one item every three months.
That's the deadine for me, three months. Better if I do in two, of course.

I bought an item on February, hoping to save up for another one maybe for April. But if in April it's not done I'll make sure to post extra in May so I can meet the deadline.

I've completely lost track at the moment, but this is not a good time of year for me to take on more things to keep track of. I'll probably do this again mid-May and try for another shot at expanding our data sets for discovering the average.

I could have tracked mine, and now I wish I do. Because lately I'm getting so few donuts.
I was less active during a few weeks, but now I'm back to posting - but my donut count seems to remain so low v_v

Maybe it really did go down while the egg hunt is in effect? I don't remember getting any donuts during this event but maybe I'm wrong.... ?

I just got 3 donuts for one post, so they're still around, but maybe not that often?

Okay, it's probably just my perception, then. I suspect the rates wouldn't actually have changed, just my subjective feelings about the drop rate.

If I'm too focused on the eggs it's probably that I'm just looking more than posting so the donuts aren't popping up as much but the chances didn't change, I just see it less so I think they've changed...

Nah, that makes sense If you don't post, you don't get as many chances to get donuts.
