I think you can't get back to any task you skipped ^^;... but you don't have any limit for giving the materials needed to Lord Wuffel, so maybe you can try getting the stuff from other players before starting the next one? I know the fishes are awfully expensive, I cursed a lot about that; then again, I can understand why people sell them at that price since it was hell getting them all -_-.
I'm sorry, I would gladly help you but I only got the minimum 30 fishes...

I didn't know that skipping a task meant you can't go back to it later! Now i've got a bunch of these anglerfish but no where to use them . Right now I'm trying to sell them at the market and I'm also here to warn other players not to make the same mistake as me.
DON'T SKIP TASKS UNLESS YOU DON'T PLAN ON EVER DOING THEM

If you skip a task, you will not be able to do it.

I am sorry this seems to have caused some confusion. Maybe it is my lack of knowledge of English language, but for me the word "skip" made it clear and even according to my dictionary it means "To pass over", "to miss" or "to fail to attend". So I though the word was pretty clear, otherwise we would have used something like "postpone" or "cycle".
The idea that people might think skipping a task would allow them to make it at a later point did not even occur to me, nor did the usefulness of such an option: Since you do not have time limits for a task it makes absolutely no different at all whether you do a task now, or skip it and do it later.

No, they don't.
However, like NoxNoctis already said - if you don't have enough fish, then you can just continue collecting fish, till you have enough. There is no time limit keeping you from doing that.

Yes, they can appear in all parts of the forum, as well as most other parts of the site

I do use other parts of the site but when it is slow it just makes it easier.

For the regular quests, what are the options you get when you are offered a quest by an NPC? I know there's an option to accept, one to turn it down but be able to choose it later, and one to reject it completely & remove it from the list, but I can't remember how they are worded. I know that the last one is really clear that if you choose it, you lose out on that one forever.

"Skip" in American English is often used the same way as "postpone", putting something off to do later. I'm too tired right now, though, to think of a good word that clearly means to permanently skip something.
