I hope we can have fun together despite the heat.
I'm very thankful that my family has access to air conditioning. It's critically hot here. We have summer rain when it gets too hot.

Even if it rains in Tokyo it doesn't help much, it just makes everything more humid and thus more disgusting. But at least there's no sun.
The only thing that brings the temperature a bit down are typhoons but then it's a whole lot of different problems.
Still, today is kinda fine so I think I'm gonna take a walk before it becomes impossible (like it was the whole of last week)

@Hotarla: My friend also has a dog but can't bring her because international flying to an island country means a lot of administrative stuff she can't do on vacation.
Which is a shame because I love that dog.

I didn't have AC back in France either, but that was mostly OK, except during heatwaves, but I honestly wouldn't survive in Tokyo without one, but I really don't like it. People die every year because they don't turn it on despite having it.
I'm pretty sure I would die too because I'm very prone to heatstrokes/heat exhaustion.

You talk like an European XD

We just recently had someone local die because they didn't have any. I can't imagine going without it in this heat. I think it was 109-110 degrees outside yesterday.

Yeah, that's pretty much my life right now XD
It's a shame though because in my mind Summer is for traveling but nope. Not gonna go outside.

And yup, you talk like an European, talking about crossing borders like it's no big deal. That's definitely something an European would say.
Like, borders? What are those again?

Looks like you've got it worse than me.
We didn't go that high but my weather app did tell me that it was more or less the temperature we felt, because of the humidity.

lol so travelling = i'm going to travel from one air conditioned room/building to another. cuz its that hot. lol

well Canada US border is like......not really that big a deal. i mean, there's customary checks but i think that's really all there is. and maybe you'll have to declare stuff.

No checks in Europe. You're supposed to declare stuff because there's still a limit to how much alcohol and cigarettes you can buy, you're also not supposed to freely import/export weapons or drugs but I haven't experienced a check, ever. It's like you're just driving and suddenly you're in another country.
Japanese husband's mind was blown, it was pretty fun to see.

The sad thing is that there's a limit to how much you can enjoy tourism only inside. Like, I love museums and shopping but I get bored.

The only border check I've ever experienced is coming home from California. They just check for fruit or other paraphernalia before they let you go. It tickled us because we took a wrong exit and wound up in Mexico and nobody stopped us before we entered the country lol.
