A peasant's top would be extremely unfitting however, as he's kinda sorta pretty rich. A more fancy shirt maybe, or if you could try to draw armor that would be great. Iirc he wears chainmail all the time in our campaign.

wip for approval before shades I'd accept FC, yep! How many depends on how much you think the piece is worth. If you're okay with this, I'll continue. If not, I'll do small changes like color adjustments or hair (preferably with photo references to avoid confusion), but I'd have to decline if it passes this level of detail (eg. adding more armor plates or chainmail). In the case that it's not correct at all, I guess consider the wip a freeb of some sort ^^;

The request has been made that the hair should be a darker shade of brown and the skin more gray (more like "gray" lmao the example is more yellow than gray). As I said, the design is fairly flexible, so not drawing chainmail is completely fine.
