Im fine with all of those. Rats would kind of make me nervous in comparison, though.. I would still pick one up and play with one, though.
Ive had pet snakes which I adored, and I always wanted a pet tarantula.
Rats are supposed to be really smart. My mom had one when she was growing up and she used to tell me about him.

I have koumpounophobia though, so.. its not like Im completely fearless.. I just happen to be afraid of something completely irrational.

I don't hate any of them, but rats scare the crap out of me. Don't know why, they are probably even more scared of me, but they do.

I like pet snakes and rats. I hate all spiders equally. They terrify me.

I'm totally ok with rats, as long as they aren't big, wild rats. I don't like those. But, well, I've meet it like once or twice in my whole life. Fortunately there aren't many in my neighborhood.

As for snakes, I don't like those. Well, if I was absolutely sure it wasn't dangerous for me, I guess I would be ok. I was ok as a child when there was a performance with exotic animals, they needed a spectator to help them with a show, they took me and then put all these snakes on me. But at this time I was sure there is no danger. If I meet a wild snake, I won't be able to say so, because I barely have any knowledge about the snakes. There are barely any where I live.

I'm not afraid of spiders, but the thing is, there aren't any very dangerous spiders where I live. And out of these that live here, I think over 50% don't bite humans (or isn't able to bite, because our skin is too thick). The rest can be unpleasant, but as far as I know there are only 2 or 3 specimens here that can be actually dangerous for humans. But there are few and actually very rare.

Also, I heard that women's fear of spiders actually gets much, much stronger after they give birth, just to help them protect the child. I have no idea if it's true, since I don't have kids :mctongue:

You just reminded me, I heard recently that babies can smell their mother's milk like, through the breast. HUMAN babies! That's how they find the nipple!

Completely blew my mind I mean, I feel like we're so far removed from the animal kingdom that we've become kinda helpless and useless at natural things, so it just surprised me we had anything like that left. :mcsquee:

Wow, really? I mean, I can see how that would be a key survival skill, but still! Wow!

Rats are cute, so are snakes. In fact, I absolutely wish I could have a snake as a pet, or at least be able to handle one, maybe because a friend has one? Either way, both are adorbs.

On the other hand, spiders are a minor ick to me. Like, big spiders like tarantulas and the likes? I've touched one before, not too big a deal. It's when I find small spiders in my bathroom or bedroom that I hate. Like, this is my sanctuary, or a very small enclosed room, so go away before I decide to squish you. Otherwise, if I can pretend you don't exist...
