I think ICQ really might've been a regional thing, I know tons of people who used it too. And then lokalisten for a short period, and then finally facebook.

I also recently saw an image on what messenger apps are used most in what countries, and apparently most americans don't know whatsapp???

Kindve on and off topic. My friend picked on me for still using outlook. Like I still have a @msn.com and @hotmail.com address. And I very much miss MSN/WL messenger. Skype is okay but I miss it.

There's an option to add your username/email address to the MSN/WL in your profile. lol

oh man... YIM and jabber make me feel so old. and i'm not even THAT old, really. i feel like generally the userbase on kofk is significantly older than on other sites.

i miss msn/wl so much honestly.

I'm pretty sure that I had an ICQ account, but I don't remember using it much. Same with Yahoo! Messenger. It seemed like everybody I knew was using a different thing, so I was signing up for all these things just to talk to one or two people.

Yep. I've got the stars. I'm on page 7 of the member list when sorted by joined date.
