My sister and I started the second season, and are looking forward to the rest.

The only thing that throws me off is that...
Spoiler
...the show is like, "Look, it's Steve! You like Steve now, don't you?" ...as it pokes you with a stick.

I wished they had more than eight episodes in the first season, that way character arcs could be expanded upon. Cause it was truthfully like in the span of ten minutes on one episode where Steve is the biggest asshole around and we all enjoyed watching Jonathan punching him over and over again... :qlol:

And then the show's like, "Ahhh, c'mon. Steve's not a bad guy. It was peer pressure. See, he wants to apologize." And i'm thinkin', "Nah, I still want him to be eaten."

And I do still want him to be eaten. But maybe as I watch more i'll change my mind. :qt:

I think that the reason they made Steve a more likable character now is that he had started to grow on them towards the end of season one. Perhaps the creators saw potential there and wanted to explore it.

I like it myself, since I like his relationship with Dustin and how new relationships are developing and being explored in this season. I think it gives the characters more depth, and there's also good reason for it, since they are all united in their knowledge of the Upside Down.

If I recall correctly, I think they wanted a "human villain" as well as a monstrous one this season, hence they decided to make the new dude more of an antagonist (minor though he is).

I actually didn't like any of the teens in the first season --Steven, Jonathan, or Nancy.

However, as we got to know them a little more in the second season, you can see how they have grown.

Is there a reason you dislike Steve so much? He was definitely a jerk, but I thought Jonathan was just as bad with being the creeper that he is.

Yeah, I have to concede that Jonathan's actions were creepy. But I get the vibe that what he did didn't come from a creepy place. That doesn't excuse it, but... I don't know. I just wanna give him more benefit of the doubt. :qhehe:

I still haven't finished the second season. My sister and I need to sit down and do that.

I've seen the first season and I am part way through the second. I like it but I'm not super crazy about it.

I like the characters. They're all very interesting. I do find it interesting that such young kids have such potty mouths. I didn't start swearing hardcore until the end of middle school. Maybe I was just a sheltered kid. lol.

I totally binge watched both seasons of this series over the period of less than a week. It was frightening at times but so addictive. I can't wait for the next season.

I have recommended this series as they have no idea, but I do not finish seeing the ones that I currently see.
