I'm an introvert. I don't go out much anymore.

I believe I'm an introvert.
I like being around people however my fear
of being made fun of or judged starts to
tire me out? So I can't be around people for
to long without needing a break. Maybe if I
wasn't so shy I wouldn't be introvert :qhehe:

I am a MASSIVE introvert.
I deal by constantly expanding the boundaries of my comfort zone by putting myself in situations that are in my "Stretch Zone" (outside my comfort zone, but not quite in the "Danger Zone"). The more you push yourself in your "Stretch Zone", the more the boundaries of your "Comfort Zone" will expand. :mccute:
My comfort zone used to be TINY! But through my experiences and my travels and challenging a lot of my fears and social anxieties, my comfort zone has grown by leaps and bounds! Things that used to be in the "Danger Zone" are not in my comfort zone! :mchappy:
It takes a lot of time and patience and guts and resilience and courage, but you are capable of much more than you think you are. :mccool:

I'm very introverted.. I do however crave for other peoples attention sometimes, but when I actually get it I just get awkward and uncomfortable. I also work as a waiter, it forces me to interact with people, but I can't wait to get home to my safe space..

I am very much an introvert. I don't do well in social situations...any group consisting of more than three people is too much for me.

You all make me think... and that's a good thing.

The notion of comfort zones being related to introversion or extroversion is new to me, and intriguing, but for me they are not so closely bound.

I'm actually quite adept at social situations, and have no anxiety or panic or anything like that (usually) -but I am not an extrovert, so although I have no trouble with it, it is very tiring, interacting with other people.
It is dealt with fairly easily therefor; simply a matter of scheduling time alone after and before any scheduled social events.

There are things outside my comfort zone that do not involve other people -they should not cause any trouble because of my introversion, but they do cause me trouble in terms of anxiety.

So I am very fortunate, because for me these issues are separate and do not feed on each other or reinforce each other. This makes them easier to deal with!

I am suddenly grateful, and did not know to be grateful before reading this thread.

So thank you all, for the insight.

I'm very much an introvert. I don't leave the house unless my partner is there with me to help keep me grounded and give me support when out if I need it. It's especially hard for me to leave the house without him as we have a 2 year old and I can't cope with her on my own very well. I also tend to lurk online as I often don't feel like I have anything to contribute and don't like to interrupt things...

I'm mostly an introvert outside of my family. I'm a quiet person but I don't mind the company of others. Just don't expect me to do a lot of talking.

I'm an ambivert I think. I'm not a total loner, I have friends and I don't hate people. I do like going out and doing social things but I tend to get drained much quicker than others and need longer times in between social events to recharge. Right now I'm in a nightmare because I work 12 hour days and don't have much 'alone time' during the week and I have 5 weekends in a row where I have to do things coming up and I just want to cry over why I over committed myself and I hope some people cancel on me, I don't know anyone else who gets excited when people cancel on them :qt:
