Yes, we spend all day with this yesterday. Phew. Almost all items are done, though I left a few out that still will be up for color remake vote and didn't include the one that were voted no on, as they don't fit any of the colors properly. There are also a few like skins and backgrounds I left out, because they also didn't have any color from the chart.
I still will try to add a few secondary colors to some items, but that will have to wait for another time, because I am quite tired of this.
Oh, and this also only works if you search items for a specific color. If you just sort by color, the items without the color in their name still won't be sorted. 
I still want to make some improvements to the serach function: Right now, if you search for example for "Green" you will get all items that have Green in their color name, like Lime Green, Emerald Green, and so on. You cannot just search for items that are Green only. I hope starkad will be able to change that. And I also want some kind of drop down menu with the color buttons in the search, just for people who want to search for items in a certain color, but are not familiar with the exact names of the colors.

Wow! You guys are great!
Your ideas for the search function sound good, too. Although I sometimes deliberately search for not the precise colour because I want to see the items of multiple colours (e.g. I search for "sand" because I want to see light sand and sand brown). I admit that it's annoying for colors like green that you can't search precisely though. You could just rename the colors to pure green or something like that ;)

I do hope he can change that as well. xD;
I forgot to mention it, but it is really hard to search for those
plain colours, Green, Blue, Pink, etc because all the
shades pop up with the colour in them.
Maybe he can do something like, if you're searching for just
the specific colour you can type in Green*?

I was thinking about something like that as well. I think the most common way is to search for "Green" if you only want precise fits? Or maybe one could have a checkbox next to the search for it, so that people will actually notice that the possibility is there.

Thanks for the hard work!
I only ever used the sort by color option to cover the gaps search by color had. So as someone who rarely uses it I don't have anything to say about updating it or leaving it. :'D
The other improvements you mention all sound great!
Hopefully they won't be a struggle to implement.

Thinking about it some more, the best option I see would be if you decided to make a dropdown for the colors: Make it a list with multiple selection.
That way we would actually gain so much flexibility, because we could look at any choice of colors we want at the same time, even some we can't now because they have disjoint names. I would love that! It would make designing around a color scheme so much easier, because you could look at everything you want to consider at the same time, instead of switching between looking at the different colors.
And if you make the selection anyway, it shouldn't be that much harder to make it with select multiple. It's probably a different gui element and a slightly more complex query, but it should be manageable, I believe.
