Star_Dust wrote:I am looking for some comedy or slice of life where romance isn't really the main focus, it can be there but not be the main thing everything revolves around (unless it is really really funny like Ouran for example I make exceptions for anything incredibly funny). I have been feeling kinda bad recently and some sweet and sometimes just ridiculously cutesy or funny anime just makes me feel happy and nice. Things like Squid Girl, Princess Jellyfish, Ouran High School Host Club or Yotsuba (yes I know it's only a manga but I would also accept manga recommendations). Thank you!
These are all manga btw.
I don't remember how much romance was in this manga all i remember is the weird baby. XD That baby was not normal. I was just like "WTF is with this baby."
Momo Raba
I think this one was cute. It's been a while since i read it. There is no romance in it which i was actually glad about because the dude's wife is a kid.
Adarshan no Hanayome
I want to recommend this one which is romance but it's also got drama in it. So maybe read this one some other time. (It's by the same creator as Tail of the Moon which is another really good manga. I think Tail of the Moon would be a good one to check out. It's ninjas, romance, comedy.)
Stepping on Roses
This one i could relate to the main character because of Hair issues. It's funny and has romance.
Happy Hustle High
This was just like Ouran High School Host Club but sorta different.
Love Sick
The manga for this series look like cereal boxes. XD
It's a pretty cute and funny manga.
Instant Teen: Just Add Nuts
Funny ninja manga. It's sorta long. I think this does get dramatic towards the middle and end.
Shinobi Life
I really liked this one. though this isn't cute or romantic so maybe check this one out another time.
Ludwig Kakumei
It's about a girl looking for her brother. And it's a gender-bender.
Teppen
This is a bunch of oneshots. The vampire one is so cute. XD I think it's the first story. The Vampire dude is an idiot but he's so sweet. He gets summoned by a girl who wants to put a curse on her exboyfriend.
Vampire Crisis

Natsume Yuujinchou! It has elements of supernatural fantasy, but focusses mainly on the life on Natsume Takashi, and is just a feel-good breathe of fresh air.
Watching it feels like sipping tea in a grassy field on a summer day.
(Has sequal seasons)
Nichijou - Ordinary Life .... I can't even begin to describe this glorious trainwreck.
Just go watch it.
(Has two or three spin-offs and ovas)

You might enjoy Log Horizon. It might be more fantasy/adventure then you are use to, but it's a very good anime.

Daily Lives of High School Boys ( Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou ) is something I found really really funny. I've only watched then anime, but there is a manga as well.
Hyouka is another one I would recommend, I haven't finished it yet, but it's not too based in romance. The animation is absolutely stunning.

If you need a really good laugh, I recommend Gintama. The anime really cheers me up when I'm down.

It's not really cutesy (or slice of "normal" life) but it is downright hilarious.

School Rumble is my top recommendation hands down. Comedy and slice of life with a little romance (not not the main focus, instead it adds to the comedy). GREAT ANIME!!!

Try 'The Daily Lives Of High School Boys' if you haven't yet, I definitely second that. It's really good!
Whoops, just noticed this has been brought back from the dead but I hope you had good luck with your anime anyway!

If you are still looking for anime that's funny, there's a magical boy anime that is meant to be a parody of Sailor Moon which made me laugh non stop. It loses some of its charm if you don't like sailor moon, or don't know much about it but it still remains funny. Its called Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love.

Man, this thread is probably dead, but I LOVED Aggretsuko! There's a romance plot later on, but it's not the main focus, it's just an adorably drawn slice of life of an office worker. It's by the people who make Hello Kitty, so the art style is adorable too!
