They really put a bull inside a china shop?

In my uncle's town there is a tradition which they celebrate yearly, and they let bulls wander freely in the streets.
They are quite calm animals, but I would not say they are very delicate xD

They set up a bunch of rickety shelves in a bull pen and put a lot of breakables on the shelves. Then they let in some bulls. The bulls just danced and weaved through the shelves without breaking anything lol. And they weren’t like walking they were running through them lol.

Even so.
I won't be standing in the middle of the street when the bulls come running

The red thing is just a myth.

But anyway, they are big animals and they are usually scared (streets are not their natural habitat) so they run a bit crazily.
Some people like running with them, but not me.

There are several towns with similar traditions. The one in Pamplona on July 7th is the one you've likely heard about.
Bulls literally run because they have only a way to go (it is fenced) and it's packed with people, trying to run ahead of the bulls.
It's actually quite dangerous.

This one I talk about is pretty much the same, but it's an small town and the bulls are wandering wherever they want.
They are way less nervous so it's unlikely they'll put a person in a dangerous position. They mostly want to be left alone.

I remember this one time, I was in a cafe with some friends, and one of the bulls entered.
That time we got a bit scared, because it's hard to know what an animal will do if it feels locked in. Luckily the owner of the cafe managed to open the door and let the bull out without any issue.

wow.....thats interesting. but also, the running of the bulls sounds dangerous. its one thing if they're wandering around and not running and they're probably more used to ppl. its another to make bulls run for sport....8U like if you're running with them, what if you're not fast enough? what if you irritate them? sounds scary af to me.

When they do those runs, the bulls are always irritated - it's crowded, people are noisy ... and the animals get nervous.
And more often than not some of the people are drunk so they make stupid things.

Some people have died in those situations.
