Yeeeah. Watching all one's progress go FLOOSH, is weird.

Yup. But now I'm having paranoid worry that I talked too much and scared customers off.

You didn't go back to start. you just had to skip a few turns this time. That's what "relapse" means.

If it was a problem, I'm sure your supervisor'd say something.

*hug* Thanks, Den. Those words are very encouraging and comforting.

Well... nobody's had time to complain to her yet.

It's from experience. I had to learn that too.

...part of me wanted to go "Never underestimate customers and their levels of spitefulness"... because I've also experienced that...

but the more likely scenario is that people aren't as bothered by it as you're fearing.

It took me til now to realize that my freaked out doll getting rid of thing was triggered PTSD. *shakes head*

Yeah, I know. People can be bonkers, and we are also our own worst critics. Thankfully, I have a boss that checks up on me via text, and one of the other shop people who I chat with when I come to shop came to check on me. But the sensory overload is STILL kicking me in the head (along with a panic attack over something else, right now). I'm still gonna work again this Saturday, Lord willing.

I would advise looking into the acquisition of a couple things. First, for when you get off of work: A weighted blanket to curl up under (ideal weight is 10-12% of your body weight. In my case, that's 25 pounds, but in yours, it'll more than likely be different). Second: if your boss is okay with it, noise canceling headphones, or ear plugs to reduce the noise levels. You'll still be able to hear when people talk to you, but things won't be as MUCH.

I wear my noise canceling headphones when I go to Walmart, which has helped with the sensory overload of the place (I need to get comfortable with the idea that I am ALLOWED to wear sunglasses indoors if I need to, and Walmart's one of the places that I NEED to be wearing 'em in).

I don't think the blanket would help, for me. I'd just overheat. I've been thinking of the headphones, though. I can't wear them at home, but at work I think it'd be alright, and I'm fairly certain Mrs. Gupta wouldn't mind.

That's fair on the overheating part... but you know me, I'm always COLD.

Nowadays, you can get noise-cancelling headphones in a LOT of different colors. For Example, I have a pair of this brand, in blue. And they can be charged using your phone's charge cord. I also saw a less-expensive pair that had kitty ears. Didn't come in blue though, sadly.

Yeah, cold hands, warm heart. I used to be like that til I got rounder. Now I'm usually warm. Also currently periodic. No wonder my head was tripping out so hard.

I wonder if a flip phone charge cord would work. Also, would they do me any good when I wasn't listening to any music? Because THAT fries me too, even when I like the music. :qhehe:

Depends on the shape of the end of the cord. As for when you're not listening to music? Yes. That is actually what I originally got mine for, non-music situations. They work VERY well for that. They're the first thing I grab when I've got a migraine.
