I'm picky about what I read. Though right now I haven't had much time to read more than children's stories.

Frozen is fair, but I think they should have made it more like the Snow Queen. They had some good concepts, but now it's just some story about sisters. The "sister" thing was not original, Faerie Tale Theatre did the sister thing back in the 80s. They made the Snow Queen and the Garden Witch sisters.
Though I will admit the sequel looks interesting.

My brother's daughter is a Frozen fan. I've been sketching out Disney characters and I had finished Elsa and she was insistent of me drawing Anna soon. I'll have to show her I sketched up Anna, Kristoff and Hans. Once my brother broke out and started singing "Let it go" and I threatened to drop the snowman on him.

I just realized that "take out" means food, dating, and murder. And if you were a female praying mantis you'd have all three.

I'm kind of picky about what I read. If I don't like something I will often not finish it. lol.

Idk. I like the whole sisters concept. Especially that true love doesn't have to be romantic, it can be familial.

Also I feel like at least 95% of stuff isn't original anymore. It's really hard to get an original concept with so much art and stuff being created now a days.

I like Let it Go. It's a really good song. Though hearing kids try to sing it will sometimes make my ears bleed. There's a lot of range in it that many kids do not have.

Well Lilo and Nani already did the sister love. And Brave did the mother daughter love. Also I feel Big Hero Six went over the depression part better. It felt like they treated it like a real disease instead and I related to Hiro.

That's true, but they could have stayed closer to the story. The classic movies at least had the general concept. They changed things, but you still have the same elements like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: a princess named Snow White, seven dwarfs who take her in, an evil step-mother, a magic mirror that doesn't lie, a huntsman, a prince who rescues her in the end. Frozen: ummm...eternal winter is all I got.

I like to listen to Let it Go on occasion, but not over and over.

@Julez: You're not missing out.

Yeah, Lilo and Nani did sister love already but their relationship is so different than what Anna and Elsa's is. Nani is more like Lilo's mom than her sister. Anna and Elsa are only a couple years apart in age so they have a much more sisterly relationship.

I loved Big Hero Six. The depression was portrayed very well. Though the depression and isolation Elsa and Anna both felt felt real to me as well. I empathized with all of the characters.

I feel what you're saying. I like new spins on things though. Just regurgitating basically the same stories over and over gets boring. I like that they mix it up a bit. Not that I would say no to a more literal snow queen movie.

Most songs I don't like listening to over and over again. lol.

LittleJulez - I personally would watch it. It might not be your favorite movie ever but it's still pretty good.

That is true.

At the beginning it was more realistic, but after awhile Elsa stopped feeling like a real depressed person. Though the part when she is reunited with Anna at the ice castle, was a bit accurate. A bit of surprise happiness when seeing your family after so long, and then being scared of going back and wanting to escape and not wanting to go back and be close to loved ones. But a lot of it felt flat like they were trying too hard.

True. I dunno, I guess when they said Snow Queen, I was hoping for a little more.

I do. Especially if it's new to me or a classic I haven't heard in a long while.

Well I guess, I can change my mind and suggest watching it. I saw the trailer for the sequel and it looks good, I'm impressed.

I think that I really relate to Elsa because she isolates herself because she's so different from everyone else. Hiding who she is from everyone. I did the same when I was young. I couldn't tell everyone who I was because I knew I wouldn't be accepted.

I'm sure that Disney will keep spitting out good movies we can banter about. lol.

I'm really looking forward to the sequel. I'm all about elemental magic. :qh:

Sorry I have not been around much lately. I have started to work part time at a daycare by my house, and also I am 3 months pregnant!! :mccute: :qh:

I had bad morning sickness (more like all day sickness) for quite awhile and had no energy for anything at all. Doc gave me some meds to help with that so it has improved a bit, thankfully.

Hope you all are well. :qh:

No worries. Real life takes priority.

Neat. You were trying to do that for a while, yeah?

I'm sorry your morning sickness sucked so hard. I'm glad it's not as bad now.

I'm ok. I'm sick but slowly getting better. It always takes me forever to get over sickness.

Yes, we were trying and I had a miscarriage before. Now we are pregnant again and so far everything is going really well. Baby is all healthy thus far. :mccute: :qh:

I really hope that you feel better soon. :qh:
