Sure. I have spent my life not having any idea of what I wanted to do with myself. It would be interesting for my child to get to live a different way then me, not stumbling blindly, but seeing how much he or she can achieve having their entire life ahead of them WITH a direction in mind.
I do feel like it might be considered invasive, and I'd probably be living vicariously through my child, because I would choose for my child to be a virtuoso of a harp-like instrument, but I wouldn't push them hard.. I would just be there to guide them along the way in that particular direction. If they go off path, then that's their choice.
I could learn from him/her, and she/he could learn from me.
