The main thing is that people didn't read so others who didn't know died and so they got banned for a while because idiotsticks sued and whined because they couldn't be bothered to read

It indeed looks like something that would happen in the US.

Though in my case, the problem is just that for some reason the brand only sells a very very select number of products and most of it is sold through independent import shops.
So no Kinder for me this year.

Kinder eggs always have the capsule, not only in the US - they've slightly changed the design of it since my childhood, but it always had one. It used to be two separate parts and you could stack them and do all kinds of fun stuff with them. The new ones both halves are still connected when you open them and they're a lot less fun.

Wow... I'm sorry but if you are a parent of a young child and dumb enough to leave them alone with little things they can choke on that's on you. The parent is fully at fault, not the friggin chocolate company. Morons. :mcshout:

Yeah, Kinder eggs are banned in the US - so silly. I live in Canada so I can get them whenever I want. I love them. LoL. I also do not remember a time when any kinder toy was NOT in a little capsule, and I've been eating them for 25+ years :mcheh:

Edit: Just found an article that a new product Kinder JOY is available in the US ... but inside there are two separate sealed halves so the toy and the chocolate don't touch ... I've had those ones too and they are delicious :mctongue:

Kinder JOY are just the summer version here, I think :D
They've existed for some years.
It's not real, hard chocolate, it's more of a cream thing that you eat with a little plastic spoon. Therefore it makes sense that you don't want it touching the toy, since that'd just be a sticky mess.

I've been away from Europe too long it seems. Or it is indeed just sold in the Summer, haven't seen it when I come back for Christmas either.

Talking about things, did you know that the cap of Bic pens have a hole so a child can keep on breathing even if they eat it?

No I did not know that!! Wow. Very cool. I chewed on pen lids all the time as a kid, surprised I never inhaled one LOL :mcheh:

I chewed on pretty much everything when I was a child.
I still remember my mother yelling at me because I was eating the bed and I was really small.

Well, at least I never ended up at the hospital because of one of those things.
