I didn't read your review because I might read the book. But don't be afraid to do reviews! Yours are very unlikely to be worse than mine lol. I just say what I think, anything I wish might have been different, parental guidance warnings/if there is anything that might bother people (like rape for example), if I'm likely to read the next book in the series (if there is one), etc.

Writing reviews can be so much fun! I just don't make time for it...

I would really like it if I was a bit more productive atm.. normally when I feel this way I don't even THINK about trying to read more often because that just feels like a waste of time that I could be spending doing something actually productive, but i'm thinking maybe it could be an easy way to increase my motivation? It shouldn't be too difficult to start reading a bit before bed again every night.

What do you guys think? Does reading more often make you feel like you're being more productive? :mcgasp:

It depends on the book, a little, but generally reading lets me feel grounded more than accomplished, if that makes sense. It's less about productivity than it is about balance.

@Akili yeah, grounded... :mcshock: I guess that makes sense if you think about it :mchappy: like if I start to read every night before bed again while also setting more general daily goals to accomplish then it won't seem so daunting. Rather than either just reading more and not feeling accomplished, or just trying to do more during the day without reading and then feeling like i'm pushing myself to do too much work without having a break. That does make sense :mccute:

And thanks, Alice. I might start trying it now actually, i've just made some tea and it's already gotten dark outside :mctongue: An early night with a book doesn't sound too bad right now! :mccool:

I feel like reading is just another point on my task list at the moment, even though I enjoy reading a lot. I try to find time for it, but usually I am that tired that I cannot read anymore. Sometimes I read a few pages right after waking up... Maybe I can start my day off like that. If I wasn't reading I'd end up being on my phone which is even less productive..

I've recently deleted a lot of tbr books from the reading app just because they'd been crowding it and making reading feel like a chore, especially after work. it just felt like there need to be less "options" and more air

I realised I'd forgotten to leave a review and mark my last book as read. So I actually just finished my reading goal for the year :D
