My sister got her mother to help with a problem we'd run into and I'm so happy I'm celebrating, she figured out what it was!

So I've spent a fair bit of time just goofing off here on KofK, in sheer relief. :) Did a bit of a baking experiment, too, but that went rather disastrously awry, so the dog got a nice treat instead of us.

(Chatty with ulterior motives: vegetables! For the Wuffels!)

Oh, well, we had some figs that were harvested a little too late and were going fermented. I tried to use them like overripe bananas and make a kind of loaf-pan cake out of them, but....

bad idea.

Like a slimy, rotten fruitcake.

It was awful.

The dog liked it, though. We put him outside, after, in case it gave him farts, but it's nice out so he didn't mind that either.

Yeah. I mean, it wasn't actually rotten, it was just fermented, but... fermentation is a type of rotten, what am I saying?

Either way, it was a disaster.
