Um...I don't really remember how to write about one's self. I think you write about what makes you a good candidate for the scholarship. Your strong points, your determination that sort of thing. What inspired you to continue your schooling.
I should just put a picture of me naked in the application instead XD
Aha, guess I'll throw in some random things about how perfect I am and how this scholarship would help me devote more time to getting into a better university or things like that -__-
It still isn't easy at all. I'd rather write a 8 pages essay on history or something.
Go for future things with it, actually. Talk about what gets you excited (what do you want to study? What's your area of passion?), because excitement and passion is contagious and makes people feel good. So then your readers associate your essay with positive things. So really, do it about the final goal: you studying something you love.... and then thank them for making it happen with their scholarship. (Do you know anything about the history of how their scholarship got started? Who or what was behind it? If you can do a little research on that, maybe throw in a line that connects it at all, do it.... but if you'd have to really stretch to make a connection there, then leave it out)

You pretty much have two main lines to go down that work well: The super polished route, impressive for the skill it displays, and the personal route, the route of fluency in passion rather than in essay-writing-skills. Mostly I find people who aren't comfortable with essays do better the second way.
To get the phrases flowing, you could pretend, for instance, to be talking to a friend. I know someone who would turn on a recorder and literally pick up a phone and hold it to their ear and close their eyes and imagine they were talking to their bestie and just babble away until they were relaxed and talking naturally about the subject. End up with a good hour of material they'd then listen to, transcribe, and edit it down from there. Considering how fluently you can talk to us via text on the forum you shouldn't have to go that far, though. :)

Indeed they were a lovely item, maybe my favourite. Lol I'm a sucker for background items, second only to body parts. I'm so glad there's a prospect of getting them all, though it'll probably take me a while to save enough.
